We are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organize the kitchen’s activities
You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment
Responsibilities:Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activitiesConstruct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servingsApprove and “polish” dishes before they reach the customerManaging and working closely with other Chefs of all levelsFoster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workersPlan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortagesArrange for repairs when necessaryRemedy any problems or defectsBe fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staffOversee the work of subordinatesEstimate staff’s workload and compensationsMaintain records of payroll and attendanceUltimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelinesImplementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.Taking care of the kitchen’s accounts and creating a work rosterRequirements:Proven experience as Head Chef & relevant experience in our cuisine.Exceptional proven ability of kitchen managementHigh level of attention to detailEnthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around youOutstanding communication and leadership skillsUp-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processesAdaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processesAbility in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progressCredentials in health and safety trainingDegree in Culinary science or related certificateGood understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)Competent level of English spoken and written
