Job Title: Head Chef
Circa +00 Pizzeria, a renowned Italian restaurant in Pascoe Vale South VIC, is seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join its team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep love for Italian cuisine, with expertise in preparing classic dishes as well as creating innovative, contemporary plates.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage kitchen production to achieve consistency and deliver exceptional products and service
Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes including pizzas
Develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, efficient workflow, and adherence to food safety standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain optimal stock levels
Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events and promotions
Uphold the restaurant's commitment to high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine
Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Maintaining updated knowledge of local competition and restaurant industry trends
Requirements:
Qualified in hospitality with AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) with at least one year full-time experience as a Chef
Proven experience as a Chef in an Italian restaurant or similar environment
Expertise in Italian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
