AMINA India acts as a virtual extension of the bank supporting activities spanning digital assets research, investment solutions, trading & liquidity management, risk management and more recently mid/back-office and IT operations.
We are bringing a new financial services paradigm to the blockchain and finance economy. In scope of our growth plans we are looking for a Head Data Management to strengthen our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be reporting to our Chief Technology Officer.
This is your entry point into the decentralized finance world, offering boundless opportunities for career growth based on your consistent high performance. In this role you will be responsible for the following
Manage a team/squad of data analysts, engineers and data architects aiming to build a mature in-house data management capability for the bank
Define, own and drive the overall data strategy and architecture related to data analytics aligned with overall business and technology strategy of the bank
Work closely with various business and technology departments to understand needs and requirements and translate them into a comprehensive roadmap in the data space
Lead backlog refinement sessions, prioritize and assign tasks acting as a product owner for the data squad
Establish, monitor, and ensure timely data ingestion, integration, quality, data availability and data protection through the data lifecycle
Own and manage together with the data team, the respective tools and procedures related to delivery of the data management capability
Manage relationship with external contractor and hold budget responsibility for any future engagement
Oversee design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of metrics and reports during review sessions
Promote a data-driven culture by showcasing data management and analytics capabilities and functionalities to business and management
Enable alliance between IT teams in terms of Architecture, pipeline integration and infrastructure setup
Act as a liaison between senior management and the data team and ensure smooth collaboration with business units, external vendors, and IT teams
Make project decisions based on priorities, resources and their capabilities
For you to become part of AMINA’s journey, we require the following set of experience
Possess a university degree in technology, engineering, business or finance, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in banking or the financial service industry
Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in leading and managing teams in the data space
Showcase proficiency in data management, data governance, data warehousing, data analytics (including visualization tools) or a related field
Hands on experience working with data systems and platforms like Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, SQL/T-SQL, Hadoop, Presto, Kafka or Spark Engine, Azure Synapse, Databricks or similar
Good understanding of Cloud based data management, data analytics principles and tools
Ability to collaborate closely with other departments such as IT, Finance, Risk, Compliance and at various seniority levels
Ability to develop and implement data strategies which align with the bank’s overall goals
Strong communicator, leader and manager, goal and results oriented, able to work independently both conceptually and hands on
Fluent in written and spoken English; German knowledge is a plus
