Job Description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
• Legal Compliance: Ensuring the company operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes monitoring changes in laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the business, and implementing necessary compliance measures.
• Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements, such as vendor contracts, licensing agreements, service agreements, and telecommunications agreements. Managing contract disputes and providing legal guidance on contractual obligations.
• Regulatory Affairs: Keeping abreast of telecommunications regulatory requirements and representing the company in interactions with regulatory bodies. Providing legal advice on regulatory compliance, spectrum licensing, data privacy, and other regulatory matters.
• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Managing legal disputes, including lawsuits, arbitration, and other legal proceedings. Collaborating with external legal counsel, preparing legal strategies, and representing the company's interests in court or settlement negotiations
• Intellectual Property (IP) Protection: Safeguarding the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. Conducting IP audits, filing and defending IP applications, and taking legal action against infringement when necessary.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Providing legal advice to various departments on risk assessment, mitigation, and compliance with legal standards.
• Policy Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and minimize risk. Advising management on legal implications of business decisions and proposed policies.
• Legal Research and Advice: Conducting legal research, interpreting laws and regulations, and providing timely and accurate legal advice to management and stakeholders. Staying updated on legal trends, case law, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelors In Law (LL.B) degree especially if accompanied by relevant experience and expertise.
• 13 - 16 years of specialized knowledge or expertise in areas relevant to the telecom industry can be advantageous. This may include telecommunications law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, contracts, data privacy, or dispute resolution.
Skills Required
• As a Legal Head, strong leadership and management skills are crucial. Demonstrated experience in managing legal teams, overseeing complex legal matters, and providing strategic guidance to senior management is highly desirable
