Summary of the position:
As a Head – Legal & Risk Management you will be responsible for heading legal & compliance for Roche Diagnostics India. You will possess extensive knowledge of corporate legal laws in the healthcare sector, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in developing and implementing effective legal strategies for large sized organizations.
You will provide legal services to all functions/departments. Manage legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients. Act as a trusted business partner on legal issues involving the organization’s government and regulatory compliance.
As a leadership member of Roche Diagnostics India you will be managing a team with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork to support RDIN legal & compliance framework & will also be an active participant in APAC Legal Diagnostic Network & lead teams
Your Opportunity:
• Participate in crafting the yearly and long-term Legal, Compliance and Risk Management strategy in collaboration with business and function heads; review & provide guidance to ensure its alignment with Roche’s overall global vision.
• You will lead, coach & mentor the legal & compliance team members to emerge as leaders by engaging in though leadership.
• Implement and champion the local Compliance program and ensure organizational ethics, healthcare and other compliance by identifying and creating awareness of applicable statutes.
• Drive a compliance approach across the affiliate; as evidenced by the business strategy, policies, process, operations and ways of working; ensure that the affiliate fully aligns with Roche global and all applicable local compliance standards and requirements; protect the business from compliance risk and safeguard Roche’s reputation.
• Ensure the leadership skills beyond the legal and compliance expertise area and be an trusted member of the Roche India Diagnostic Leadership Team
Who You Are
• Registered lawyer with the bar license
• demonstrated ability in the Life Sciences Industries Legal and Compliance functions
• Deep knowledge of contract laws, court procedures, Legal research
• Strong knowledge of Code of Conduct, compliance processes and Audit
• Prior experience in people leadership
• Ability and proficiency to work with senior leadership team members
• Strong interpersonal skills, solution-focused and strong collaborative approach
• Ability to handle ambiguity and to manage organizational complexity
• Ability to take decisions in a fast paced environment and under ambiguity
