Job Description
Purpose of the position
To lead the business in the Delhi & Chandigarh by providing strategy, leadership and direction for the team which includes all the operational and the support functions.
This role will partner with the all the stakeholders including Directors Business owners to identify and influence on-going continuous improvement initiatives that create and maintain a robust agile global delivery model.
Key Duties Responsibilities
Strategy and Financial
In conjunction with the India leadership team, develop, maintain and enhance the Strategic Plan for the region , aligning to the India strategy.
Lead and optimise the team in terms of structure, targets, capability and motivation to meet the ongoing needs of the business, aligning to the region as required
Support the development and baseline performance targets (Budget, F1, F2 and F3, supported by monthly forecast updates) together with FD &MD in line with agreed business strategy and wider BSI performance expectations
Establish and maintain appropriate links with people in similar roles across the Region and other branches/regions.
Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance
Sales and Marketing execution
Strategically lead the branch sales and marketing teams in establishing plans to deliver goals and priority initiatives that drive increased market penetration and growth.
Ensure that the region makes make full use of the product portfolio, to maximise growth opportunities
Personally identify and target key prospect organisations within chosen markets, to create and build senior level relationships and secure new and on-going business
Qualify and pursue new business opportunities that are both attractive and can be won, together with retaining existing business where clients question their loyalty to BSI
Manage relationships with major clients, including international collaboration, to retain/renew existing business and add incremental business
Operational Delivery
Collaboration with Head System Certification and Head - Training, manage the operational delivery for Services, ensuring appropriate transparency, consistency, timeliness and compliance to procedures :
In particular:
Optimise use of External Resource v Internal Resource, giving BSI the best overall performance for delivery of the Services on time, within cost, to the defined quality of business outcome
Manage client relationships for the delivery of the Services using customer service ethos such that they receive (1) a high quality service, (2) a valuable service, and (3) an appropriate experience in engaging with BSI
In line with the strategy for managing accounts within the business, manage the delivery of enhanced service levels for predefined clients, including specialist reporting needs and team selection
People
Working together with the stakeholders to ensure that the region is aligned to the growth expectations in the strategic plan
In conjunction with HRBP , execute the Strategic Resource Planning Programme for the business, involving other business leadership stakeholders, ensuring the business can attract, retain and develop a balanced pool of talented, motivated people to support the needs of the business
Through effective and inspirational leadership, develop a strong team capable of delivering an aggressive growth strategy
Governance, C&R and ethics
Manage the Risk Profile across the business, identifying, quantifying and mitigating as needed, while engaging with the wider team on such matters.
Manage the creation, maintenance and testing of business continuity plans for the business, in line with agreed procedures from the wider BSI
You are
A degree/ Engineering Degree holder preferably with a management degree/diploma
Dynamic ,Proactive, self-driven and forward thinking; you thrive on challenge.
A good people manager and a leader
Ability to manage time and resources.
Experienced in creation of budgets and forecasts.
Good planning, control and organizational skills.
You are able to drive business development and growth.
You share our passion for excellence and can keep calm under pressure.
You are able to demonstrate proven leadership experience
Languages: Fluency in English a must.

All the Line Managers have the following responsibilities towards Environment, Health and Safety program in addition to their roles and responsibilities defined for the purpose of job
Perform the role for Environment, Health and Safety as defined for all the employees
Communication with identified interested parties for applicable issues on Environment, Health and Safety
Offer safe work environment to the employees under his/her control
Monitor the compliance to the requirements of Environment, Health and Safety as communicated by Head Technical and Compliance and/or management of BSI at various instances
Encourage participation and consultation of the employees under his/her control for identification and management of hazards and associated risk
Monitor the performance of the employees under his/her control for trainings completed, use of PPE, and other aspects as relevant for enhancing awareness, competence and performance of Environment, Health and Safety
Contribute towards achieving the objectives for Environment, Health and Safety
Report the near miss, incidence, accidents or suggestions etc. as given by employees to Head Technical and Compliance. Participate in investigation and improvement process
Ensure that the employees who exercise their right to withdraw from work due unsafe environment are not subjected to any kind of harassment, reprisals or similar act
Support and implement policies for making BSI a safe workplace
