As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic Head of Accountancy Services to lead and enhance their client offering.

About The Role:

As The Head of Accountancy Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering outstanding accounting and advisory services to our clients. You will lead and develop our accounting team, ensuring a high standard of client service, technical excellence, and efficiency. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a strong commercial mindset and a proactive approach to driving innovation in how we serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accountancy team to ensure exceptional service delivery across all client engagements.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and compliance filings.

• Provide strategic advice to clients, helping them navigate financial decisions, tax planning, and business growth strategies.

• Drive the adoption of cloud accounting and automation tools, ensuring streamlined processes and enhanced efficiency.

• Develop and implement best practices, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance

• Work closely with the directors to shape the future of the accountancy and contribute to business development.

• Train, mentor, and support team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.

• Monitor and improve internal processes, ensuring a scalable and efficient workflow

• Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for added value.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)

• Proven experience in leading and managing an accountancy team in a practice environment.

• Strong technical knowledge across financial reporting, tax, and business advisory.

• Commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear client advice

• A forward-thinking mindset, embracing technology and modern accounting solutions.

• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, FreeAgent, or similar.

• Passionate about delivering outstanding client service and driving business success.
