Responsibilities
The role will be a responsible for leading a talented group of technology managers to Design, Develop and Deploy SOA based services, Microservices and APIs for PBWMT globally. The role will run our integration function from a product, business, and technical perspective. The role includes building a strategic API platform that functions as the integration fabric for CGW platforms. The individual exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning with respect to the API ecosystem and will be responsible for end to end management multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning.
Additionally, as Site head of CGW & Legacy franchise technology teams in CSC, India (Team Size ~1000+), the role will be responsible to drive engineering excellence practice, raise the bar in terms of talent, skills and overall team competency and champion the organizational Diversity and Inclusion goals for the Pune Site.
The role will work closely with the Digital Domain Technology Leads and the Citi Alliance LT to enable a robust, replicable and scalable API ecosystem to achieve the vision of delivering world class digital capabilities on Client directed channels
Responsibilities:
• Lead on the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale or significantly difficult software solutions that have a long-term impact on a product, technology or architecture.
• Design approaches and coding (e.g., a significant refactor that simplifies or improves architectural quality, enables us to maintain a competitive advantage, offers significant extensibility, performance, scalability, or has organization-wide operational excellence impact). Identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems. (e.g., highly complex, ambiguous, undefined, with less existing structure, or having significant business or security risk or potential for significant impact).
• Deliver artifacts that set the standard within organization for engineering excellence, from designs to algorithms to implementations.
• Lead and actively participate in design reviews, aligning teams across the organization towards coherent architectural strategies.
• Delivers clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding.
• Applies judgment and experience to balance trade-offs between competing interests.
• Actively recruit as well as participate in the hiring/interview process.
• Play a significant role in the career development of others, actively mentoring and educating the larger SDE community on trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Keep abreast of industry trends. Effectively research and benchmark our technology against other competing software in the industry.
• Contribute to intellectual property (e.g., invent, submit patents, etc.)
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of relevant experience
Education:
• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
