The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead our policy and advocacy efforts. As a strong communicator and collaborator, you will build relationships with stakeholders to enhance policy outcomes for the organisation and profession.

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of projects related to the representation of and issues facing the occupational therapy profession.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive advocacy strategy to advance the interests of the occupational therapy profession.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and other professionals.

Identify and address emerging issues affecting the occupational therapy profession, developing innovative solutions to these challenges.

Lead the development of policies and guidelines to ensure the highest quality care for clients.

Requirements

Extensive experience in senior government relations, advocacy, or corporate affairs, engaging with senior government, parliamentary, and industry stakeholders on complex issues.

In-depth knowledge of social/health policy, advocacy strategies, and the Australian political and health and disability policy landscape.

Proven ability to synthesise diverse data into strategic, evidence-based decisions and effectively solve complex problems.

Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and achieving high-performance outcomes.
