Head Housekeeping Attendant Wanted – Indian Ocean Hotel
Location: Indian Ocean Hotel, Scarborough
Job Type: Casual – Long-Term Roles Available
Salary: $32.31 base rate, with an increase on the weekends
Start Date: Immediate start after a successful 2-hour trial

The Indian Ocean Hotel is currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendants to join our team. Located in the heart of Scarborough, the Indian Ocean Hotel has been a local icon for decades, offering relaxed coastal accommodation with great vibes, live music, and excellent service. We’re committed to providing our guests with a clean and comfortable stay – and that starts with you.
Your Role Will Include:
Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard
Supervising an 8-10-personnel team
Rostering
Replacing linens, towels, bins, and restocking amenities
Vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms and surfaces
Reporting maintenance issues or damages promptly
Ensuring all public areas remain clean and presentable
What We’re Looking For:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred, but not essential – training provided)
A strong work ethic and eye for detail
The ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team
Physical fitness – the role requires bending, lifting, and standing
Availability on weekends and public holidays from 7 am, and usually finished before 3 pm
Commitment to a long-term role – we’re building a reliable, consistent team
