Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced female HR professional to join our team as the Head Plant HR for one of our esteemed automotive clients. This pivotal role involves overseeing all HR activities at the manufacturing plant, with a strong emphasis on Industrial Relations (IR), statutory compliance, union management, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will ensure that HR strategies are closely aligned with business objectives, fostering employee engagement and maintaining a compliant, positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Industrial Relations (IR): Manage and resolve industrial disputes, engage in union negotiations, and maintain harmonious relations between management and workers.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and regulations, overseeing audits and inspections related to labor legislation.
• Union Management: Lead discussions and negotiations with labor unions, fostering collaboration while safeguarding the company’s interests.
• Employee Relations: Develop and sustain positive employee relations by addressing grievances, conducting investigations, and implementing effective resolution strategies.
• HR Strategy Development: Align HR strategies with business goals, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and retention to meet operational needs.
• Recruitment and Talent Development: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding, and drive talent development initiatives to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
• Performance Management: Implement and manage performance management systems to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
• Employee Engagement: Develop programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the plant HR team, ensuring high performance and adherence to HR best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven HR management experience in a manufacturing or plant environment, with a strong focus on Industrial Relations.
• Expertise: In-depth understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, union management, and employee relations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Preferred: Prior experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
