The Opportunity
At Fitness & Lifestyle Group, we exist to inspire healthier lives - and data is at the heart of how we make that happen. As our Head of Insights & Analytics, you will build and lead a centralised intelligence function that shapes the future of five iconic brands across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a rare opportunity to create something from the ground up. You will turn data into direction, connecting member behaviour, market dynamics, and commercial performance to drive smarter decisions at every level of the business. From executive strategy to club-level action, working collaboratively with our sales, marketing, operations, technology and finance teams, your insights will influence how we grow, retain, and engage our members.
Reporting to the EGM Marketing, you will be the trusted voice of insight across the organisation - ensuring we don’t just collect data, but use it to create meaningful, measurable impact.
Responsibilities
Build and lead FLG’s centralised insights function, establishing frameworks, tools, and ways of working that scale across all brands
Define and deliver a clear insights roadmap, prioritising the opportunities that drive the greatest commercial impact
Establish a regular insight cycle — monthly executive dashboards, quarterly deep dives, annual member research — that keeps the business informed and forward-looking
Own the extraction, analysis, and synthesis of member data across Snowflake, Google Analytics, CRM, and brand research platforms
Build and maintain predictive churn models and member segmentation frameworks that feed into retention, lifecycle, and loyalty strategy
Partner with the technology and data teams to improve data infrastructure, close data gaps, and build automated reporting dashboards
Own the NPS and CSAT methodology across all five brands — improving survey design, response rates, and the systematic activation of member feedback
Own customer feedback and research programs, including NPS and broader consumer insights, ensuring they drive real business action
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, sales, technology, and finance to embed insight into every part of the business
Drive insight activation, ensuring every key insight leads to a measurable outcome, not just a report
About You
You are equal parts strategist and storyteller — someone who can dive deep into data, then step back and connect it to what matters most for the business.
You bring:
Significant experience in insights, analytics, or market research within a complex, consumer-led environment
A proven ability to turn data into commercial outcomes and influence senior stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL (or equivalent database query tools)
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, or similar)
Experience designing and delivering both quantitative and qualitative research programs
A track record of building or evolving insights capabilities, frameworks, or functions
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity into clear narratives
A proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to challenge thinking and uncover new opportunities
Experience in subscription, membership, or multi-brand environments (highly regarded)
