About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Head of Legal to join our Finance team based in Newmarket. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in enhancing compliance, optimizing legal processes, and driving positive change.
Main Responsibilities:
Partner with Senior Leadership to shape commercial decisions and drive efficiency.
Lead and mentor a small, high-performing legal team to deliver top-tier legal support.
Negotiate and strengthen key contracts to drive value and cost savings.
Oversee external legal counsel and ensure legal budgets are managed effectively.
Requirements:
10+ years' PQE in corporate/commercial law, either in-house or at a medium to large firm.
Confidence in partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing commercial decision-making.
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, ensuring legal advice is both practical and business-friendly.
Strong experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and compliance.
