JOB DESCRIPTION OF HEAD OF MARKETING
The leading chain of schools & colleges in India is looking for a Head of Marketing to drive the marketing function, driving growth by leading brand and communication strategies, developing annual business plans and driving in-market execution. S/he will contribute to the P&L by driving top-line and managing marketing spending. It’s a unique opportunity to take on a transformational role at a fast-growing company looking to venture into its next stage of growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Business: Achieve bottom-line, top-line and profitability targets within operational budget and time through strategy, planning & Execution of Marketing Calendar for Annual, Seasonal/ Monthly timelines. Understanding of CRM, lead funnels and have demonstrated experience in creating experiences to drive conversions.
• Marketing: Research, define and understand the audience, bring marketing intelligence, define differentiation and positioning, develop marketing and communication strategies ( digitally focussed) and measure adoption. Should have an excellent understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including SEM, SEO and SMM. Should have the ability to own the creative process, from brief to execution.
• Collaboration: Become the voice of consumers across the organisation, bringing the insights to cross-functional stakeholders across all institutions(schools and colleges) and external agencies. Lead and mentor a growing team of marketers and collaborate with the sales team for effective and result-oriented execution.
MUST-HAVES
• 5-8 years of marketing (offline + online) experience with consumer brands in India. A demonstrable record of building brands and marketing to consumers on digital media
• Go-getter, ready to roll up sleeves, learn and unlearn quickly, treat people respectfully, communicate precisely, and negotiate deftly.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, Google workspace, Excel and presentation skills.
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience marketing a marquee brand in the formal education sector.
• MBA in Marketing from a leading B-School.
