The Opportunity

As the Head of Marketing Haier AU/NZ you will support Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ ambition to be the market leader for the Haier brand in Australia & New Zealand. You will drive marketing strategy and implementation, ensuring that effective strategies are implemented to build the brand and drive demand, all while balancing the total marketing investment to achieve short- and long-term commercial objectives.

You will do this working in partnership with local teams and global stakeholders, leading the development of FPA’s marketing strategy for Haier brand across the Australian and New Zealand markets and its end-to-end implementation across all customer touchpoints, driving deep consumer & customer engagement and loyalty, enabling delivery to leading goal growth strategy.

Work collaboratively with our internal brand team to ensure communications are effective and consistent, to support brand strategy. You will also collaborate with in-market Marketing, Global Marketing and Digital teams to achieve excellence in all execution, ensuring alignment to marketing playbook and effective activity across all customer touchpoints.

You will take a pivotal role as the Head of Haier Marketing for the NZ & AU region. You will be accountable for leading the central Marketing function for Haier and execute a globally aligned Marketing Strategy developed at our New Zealand headquarters.

While the title reflects alignment with our leadership team and the influence you will hold both locally and globally, this is a hands-on role focused on partnering with leaders to shape and deliver impactful marketing strategies to drive business success.

So who are you?

You will be a focused leader with senior leadership experience in a marketing role, you will be highly collaborative with a democratic approach and have experience leading through influence. You will understand mass premium brands and may have experience specifically in durable goods and with manufacturing companies.

You will

Lead our in-house Marketing function for Haier, partnering with our Brand & Content, Digital and in-market teams to ensure alignment on brand standards and market strategy execution.
Clearly understand our customer personas and know the right levers to pull to engage them, while keeping your finger on the pulse of how we change to continuously connect with our customers across our brand, products and services.
Be able to perform at a very high level both strategically and operationally, with a passion for driving strategy, putting structured plans in place to achieve our strategic imperatives and have a strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
Possess an ability to develop and apply the best commercial and financial solution for the right situation, increasing market share. You’ll provide insights through analytics, understanding and focusing on what creates whole of business value.
Have expertise in the media landscape and familiarity with D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) channel strategies. You will have the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be decisive and able to advise and guide a team in the right direction.
