A typical Allegion product development effort requires our various engineering groups to work together, beginning with the product requirements (systems engineering), the mechanical and electronics systems (mechanical, hardware, and firmware engineering), the mobile and cloud integrations (software engineering), and finally the rigorous validation (system testing, reliability testing, and software testing) required before our product goes to the market and our customers.

About the role: Allegion India is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Mobile Apps development team. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications, ensuring high quality, performance, and user satisfaction. You will manage a team of mobile developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical excellence and innovation.
What you’ll do:
Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of highly motivated individuals.
Prioritize, direct and execute an engineering roadmap that balances product priorities with immediate business needs while ensuring quality working with Product and other Business stakeholders.
Act as Product Interface Lead and oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of mobile applications.
Collaborate closely with the project, product management, design and globally distributed teams.
Act as a reporting manager for a cross functional high performing individual.
Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of highly motivated individuals.
Prioritize, direct and execute an engineering roadmap that balances product priorities with immediate business needs while ensuring quality working with Product and other Business stakeholders.
Act as Product Interface Lead and oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of mobile applications.
Collaborate closely with the project, product management, design and globally distributed teams.
Act as a reporting manager for a cross functional high performing individual.
Hands on expertise in designing and architecting the mobile apps
Act as technical and leadership point of contact for Product Owners and Cross Functional Leads
Ensures engineering solutions meet requirements for cost, time, and quality.
Act as escalation point to resolve issues within the team and to help coordinate resolution of issues with external parties
Manage project timelines, resources and budgets.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to mobile development.
Works with the organization to provide the tools and resources to enable team members to be successful in execution
Drive innovation by exploring new features, frameworks and methodologies.
Demonstrate agile philosophy by leading SCRUM team(s) and act as a SCRUM Master.
Create environment that builds and fosters Employee Engagement, Employee Growth and Development
Set individual and team goals in Alignment with Organizational goal and monitor progress through regular performance feedback sessions with their organizations
Drives collaboration across individuals, teams, and groups.
What we are looking for:
Experience in playing the role of manager for a team – Setting up Goals, Performance Assessment, Providing Feedback, Hiring and Growing the team
Strong technical background in Mobile Technologies, iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, API and Web development.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and version control systems.
Project management experience and complete knowledge of SSDLC Lifecyle.
Experience in Scrum and demonstrated Scrum Master role.
Experience working with globally distributed teams
Ability to plan and communicate effectively with all other cross functional teams.
Effective written, verbal and presentations skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts.
Ability to clearly articulate business goals and strategies, facilitate teams in solving problems and making decisions, and effective engagement with peer organizations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
A role model in effective Communication, Collaboration, Networking, Candor, Emotional Resilience, Negotiation, working within a team environment and cross functionally
Ability to relate to others, demonstrated resourcefulness and flexibility, active participation in decision making process, ability to assess risk and act with a sense of urgency.

Preferred Skills: IoT Platform, Bluetooth and WIFI
