The job-holder has responsibility of leading a best in class Custody, Fund Administration, & Derivative clearing Operations for Securities Services India and will be a member of the senior leadership team in India and Regional Operations. The role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a team player with capabilities of driving initiatives, projects, and coordinate with Regional and Global Operations Management in delivering change and establishing / maintaining robust internal controls and governance.
Principal Accountabilities
• Responsible for creating efficiencies and capacity building through process improvements and automation. Support & drive regional initiatives around the same and focus on reducing the manual efforts
• Support Business & Product teams to achieve Strategic development of Securities Services business by defining operations & People strategy
• Ensure consistent and quality service delivery to clients
• Maintain close and active relationship with IT/Sales/Product Management to review systems/processing to achieve efficiency, productivity, cost saving & customer satisfaction
• Successful implementation of system/process changes to cater to market changes / new products with minimal time lag.
• Support product teams in successful launch of New Products post obtaining all necessary approvals and business teams in successful implementation of new client wins
• Manage operational risk arising through fraud, unauthorized activities, error, omission, inefficiency, systems failure or from external events.
• Manage operational processes within internal/external audit guidelines and policies.
• The job-holder will be managing large Operations team. Given operation are quite intensive and involves high stress levels, the job-holder will need to ensure adequate motivation/job satisfaction levels within the team.
• Develop, sustain and retain key talents or performers. Establish a robust team to provide effective cross support; including building SMEs
• The job holder will need to work with multiple regional and local stakeholders to achieve the right outcomes.
Requirements
• Post Graduate (Masters) or a Chartered Accountant
• 15-20 years of work experience.
• Relevant experience within securities services would be preferred
Additional Information
• Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required
