About the role: A critical role in Cloud/Network Services which demands individual to demonstrate leadership capabilities in managing highly skilled Network Operations and Projects team to support over 5 Billion Dollar Airtel Africa business. IT Network infrastructure hosted in 15 countries in Africa, India and spread across over many remote offices. The individual will be completely responsible /accountable for the Networks, Voice & Network Security infrastructure projects and operations
Experience required
• 15 - 18 years of experience in networking and network security including:
• Data Centre Technology
• Hands-on Network Routing, Switching & Firewalls (Arista, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto)
• Network monitoring and automation
• VPN's, enterprise routing and switching
• Enterprise network architecture, design and implementation
10 - 12 years experience in:
• SDWAN, MPLS network design
• Core Network Services
• QOS design and implementation
• IPS/IDS
• Datacentre Layout Design
• Firewall technologies/management (Cisco, Checkpoint)
Qualification & Certifications:
• Engineering Graduate
• Any of the following Cisco expert certification
• CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
• CCIE Security
• CCDE
Technical Skills
• Excellent operations management skills to ensure defined target letter objectives and KPIs are met/exceeds expectation for all 15 countries network infrastructure
• Oversee the design of Regional Level, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Converged Fabric and all Data communication networks (routers, switches, firewalls etc) and ensures that these networks support Airtel Africa business requirements at Global Level.
• Collaborate with network vendors and strategic partners and take responsibility for architecture, design and solutions development of the network solutions.
