Key Responsibilities
1) Programming Strategy & Content Planning
• Define the programming vision, scheduling strategy, and content mix across formats and platforms.
• Build daily, weekly, and long-term content calendars aligned with audience behavior and consumption patterns.
• Identify and develop high-impact content franchises, episodic formats, and recurring shows.
• Ensure a balanced pipeline of tentpole content, trending topics, and evergreen formats.
2) Format Development & IP Creation
• Conceptualize and scale original content formats and IPs designed for repeat consumption.
• Drive the development of series-based storytelling, episodic hooks, and binge-worthy formats.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to translate ideas into scalable shows.
• Continuously refine formats based on performance insights and audience feedback.
3) Content Performance & Optimization
• Own key programming metrics including watch time, retention, frequency, and session depth.
• Analyze content performance to optimize release timing, format structure, and content packaging.
• Work closely with growth and product teams to improve discoverability and engagement.
• Lead experimentation across formats, durations, thumbnails, titles, and publishing cadence.
4) Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Content, Production, Social Media, Product, and Marketing teams to align programming with business goals.
• Work with growth teams on distribution strategies across platforms (YouTube, Reels, OTT, app ecosystem).
• Collaborate with monetization teams to integrate brand-friendly and sponsor-led programming opportunities.
5) Team Leadership & Execution Excellence
• Build and lead a team of programming managers, content planners, and strategists.
• Establish clear workflows, content pipelines, and accountability frameworks.
• Drive a culture of speed, experimentation, and high-quality execution.
• Mentor teams on audience-first thinking and platform-native storytelling.
6) Editorial Governance & Brand Integrity
• Ensure all programming aligns with Pinkvilla’s brand voice, credibility, and editorial standards.
• Define content guidelines, review systems, and escalation frameworks.
• Maintain sensitivity toward celebrity, entertainment, and lifestyle content narratives.
What We’re Looking For
• 10–12+ years of experience in digital media, content programming, OTT, or video-first platforms.
• Strong experience in content scheduling, programming strategy, and format development.
• Proven ability to build and scale content IPs and recurring formats.
• Deep understanding of audience behavior, pop culture, and platform algorithms.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into programming decisions.
• Experience leading and scaling high-performance teams.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in video-first ecosystems (Youtube, OTT platforms, short-form video).
• Background in entertainment, celebrity, or lifestyle content.
• Experience working with creator ecosystems and influencer-led formats.
• Exposure to app-based content products or OTT-style programming environments.
