Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Quality Engineering – Simulation & Evaluation to lead the design, development, and execution of scalable testing and simulation systems for our Indoor Location Services (ILS) team. This leader will drive a team of engineers responsible for ensuring end-to-end system quality, performance benchmarking, and infrastructure tooling to support product development and deployment. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical depth, leadership, and a passion for quality at scale.
Responsibilities:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers focused on simulation, evaluation, and testing.
Define technical strategy, KPIs, and roadmaps for performance evaluation and tooling within ILS.
Foster collaboration across algorithm, systems, hardware, and product teams.
Oversee the development of simulation environments and scenario modeling to accelerate R&D validation.
Set evaluation methodologies to assess accuracy, robustness, latency, and power efficiency.
Lead the development of internal tools for automated testing, regression, visualization, and CI/CD integration.
Drive initiatives to improve developer productivity, testing efficiency, and debugging workflows.
Direct planning and execution of real-world test campaigns (lab and field) in diverse environments.
Drive root-cause investigations of system-level issues and ensure rapid iteration.
Communicate program status, risks, and results to cross-functional executives and stakeholders.
Represent ILS quality and evaluation in strategic reviews, roadmap planning, and external engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
8–12+ years of industry experience in system-level testing, performance infrastructure, or simulation, with 3+ years managing engineers.
Basic understanding of indoor location technologies: UWB, BLE, Wi-Fi RTT, sensor fusion, IMU, or SLAM.
Demonstrated ability to build simulation frameworks or physical testing environments for complex systems.
Fluency in Python and/or C++ and experience with cloud-based tooling pipelines.
Strong program leadership in multi-functional engineering environments.
Excellent communication and executive reporting skills.
