Location: Reading (with travel to London & Thames Valley)
Salary:Competitive package.
Working hours: 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday

Role requirements:

As a security industry expert, this role is accountable for security design to ensure the protection of all site personnel, property and assets.

Identify and implement the provision of re-active/pro-active physical security services, utilising project management tools/techniques

Be accountable for the cost-effective implementation of security works within agreed timescales and on target, managing budget to agreed and allocated levels, positively influence & build two-way relationships with all the key stakeholders and external suppliers.

To lead and manage the security provision, ensuring our security services are delivered in accordance with current regulations and legislation and contractual requirements.

Ensure that a culture of relationship management, team working, task ownership and accountability including flexible working are actively encouraged and implemented across the sites.

Accountability for security procedures, providing strategic and innovative solutions to improve the service delivery model for our client and customers.

Responsibility for the management of compliance procedures in line with EMCOR UK Company processes and policies (Wellbeing, Safety and Assurance and Financial)

Deliver the Key Account objectives and goals in line with the EMCOR UK Key Account Plans.

Drive new business initiatives and opportunities across the contract and effectively implement any service variations, changes or agreed innovation.

Role requirements:
• Strategic leadership of the security services scope on the account.
• Lead all security operations in compliance with all Statutory, Company, Legal and Contractual requirements.
• Work in partnership with EMCOR colleagues, ensuring all aspects of Site Security, Health & Safety and Fire Prevention requirements are effectively managed.
• To maintain liaison with relevant local, external agencies (e.g., Police, Fire Service) on a regular basis.
• Ensure intra-team communications are maintained and issues dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
• Lead the management of all external providers delivering Security services to the contract.
• Ensure close liaison and relationship management with the client teams regarding the status of contractual operations.
• Ensure a programme of initiatives and achievements are maintained and kept on record through the value creation innovation process.
• Support and undertake investigations, reporting and instigation of corrective and disciplinary actions.
• Support security mobilisation & transition activities
• Evaluate performance data and operational status information for performance reporting purposes, develop action plans for implementation.
• Accountable manning of the site at contracted levels with regular shift patterns and with trained and qualified staff.
• To lead and manage a Security Team that is well motivated, informed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.
• Maintain fair and consistent grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure all officers are trained and qualified to EUK standards and site staffing level requirements are met and identify subsequent training needs and ensure employee is trained to required standards.
• Ensure assignment instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and any other relevant Security Manuals are updated and maintained in response to incidents. Ensuring that all team members have read and signed to say they understand the requirements of the procedures.
• Fully understand the use of all IT systems and applications and to monitor the correct application of the EMCOR and client IT Security Policies.

Person Specification
• Must hold an SIA FL Licence
• Clean history record in the achievement of vetting requirements
• Substantial management competency, ideally in the corporate security sector, law enforcement, HM Forces.
• Proven exposure to developing strategic security solutions, implementing and delivering a first-class service.
• The ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships within a wide circle of contacts at different organisational levels, including external agencies.
• The ability to Identify, set and personally achieve high quality standards and motivate others to do the same.
• High calibre IT skills and presentation capability
• High Level of understanding of customer service excellence and the ability to deliver quality service
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English
• Experience of report writing, agenda setting and chairing meetings
• Negotiating skills
• Planning, organizing and delegating skills
• Cooperative with a ‘can do attitude’
• A flexible approach to work, and changing demands
