As the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), you will lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices, ensuring every student achieves their potential.
Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of high expectations and collaboration, supporting staff to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the College department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.

The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in leading and managing inclusive education practices and teams.
Strong leadership, change management, and communication skills.
Expertise in designing and delivering tailored learning plans to meet diverse student needs.
A commitment to fostering student engagement, outcomes, and wellbeing.
