Knowness is an angel-backed EdTech startup, valued at £2.5 million, dedicated to making education accessible and engaging for everyone. We're looking for teachers and academics who are passionate about their fields to join our team as advisors and Head of their subject field.

As part of our advisory team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the educational content and direction of your subject area, helping us revolutionise how students learn and succeed. A core part of our mission is to provide free, high quality resources to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the future of education.

Role:

This position is open to experienced professionals, academics, and teachers with a passion for education and your field of expertise. You’ll advise the Knowness team on developing high-quality, engaging resources in your field and guide the development and structure of courses tailored to students’ needs. With an equity stake, you will share in the company's long-term success, contributing to both content creation and strategic decisions for your subject area.
• Advisory Role: Act as an advisor to the Knowness team, offering insights and expertise on your subject field to enhance the platform’s offerings.
• Content Oversight: Monitor curriculum changes and recommend content updates as needed, contributing to the overall direction of content structure and development.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure subject materials are accurate, up-to-date, and pedagogically sound, providing feedback to the team for improvements.
• Flexible Involvement: A relaxed, flexible role alongside your current commitments while contributing to our mission.

Qualifications:
• Strong expertise in your subject area, with teaching or academic experience preferred.
• A passion for education and the desire to make a meaningful impact.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience in developing educational materials or curriculums is a plus.
• Experience in schools and universities, with GCSE/A-Level/IB is also a plus.

Compensation:

This is an equity-based advisory position, with the potential for additional monetary bonuses. This role provides an exciting opportunity to earn equity in a fast-growing EdTech startup.
