**Position Information**:Bankstown Girls High School has an enrolment of 520 students with +8% students from a non- English-speaking background and attracts Equity funding. Priorities include literacy and numeracy, raising academic achievement levels through enquiry-based learning programs driven by evidence-based practices. The school is characterised by building learning capacity of both staff and students and the implementation of supportive welfare programs in conjunction with parents and through community partnerships.**Selection Criteria**:Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,- Demonstrated capacity to lead and evaluate innovative, evidence based, whole school wellbeing programs to improve student wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated capacity to lead the whole school wellbeing team with the purpose of delivering a coordinated whole school wellbeing structure to support and promote educational attainment and wellbeing.- Demonstrated ability to use data to support school evaluation, strategic planning, and future school directions, with a focus on student wellbeing and engagement.- Demonstrated ability to build authentic connections to engage the parent community and external stakeholders to meet the needs of a diverse community.**General Selection Criteria**:1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6.
