Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership and program oversight
• Provide strategic leadership for Vriddha Mitra Academy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
and national caregiving standards.
• Work as a performance leader for the Academy team (Teaching and Non-teaching)
• Ensure the smooth operation of training programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best
practices.
• Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the academy.
• Add on the new courses in the academy, at-least 1 new vocation per year.
• Donor interphase for seeking support for new courses, sharing progress on existing grants and review
processes.
Training program implementation
• Oversee the curriculum development and delivery of training programs for caregivers.
• Ensure training methodologies are evidence-based, practical, and aligned with the needs of elderly care.
• Facilitate partnerships with subject matter experts to enhance training content and delivery.
• Monitor trainee progress and ensure timely assessments and certification.
Supervision of placement and post-training support
• Supervise the Placement Cell to ensure effective placement of trained caregivers.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with healthcare institutions, old-age homes, and home-care service
providers.
• Develop monitoring mechanisms to track job placements and assess the success of caregivers in their roles.
• Ensure ongoing mentoring, counselling, and professional development support for caregivers.
Stakeholder engagement and partnerships
• Strengthen collaborations with government agencies, private sector organizations, and non-profits to enhance
training and placement opportunities.
• Advocate for policy-level support and institutional recognition of professional caregivers.
• Represent the academy in relevant forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Data management, reporting, and impact assessment
• Oversee data collection and analysis related to training completion, job placements, and caregiver retention.
• Ensure the development of regular reports on program impact, including success stories and challenges.
• Use feedback and impact assessment reports to refine training methodologies and placement strategies.
• Maintain a robust tracking system for long-term impact evaluation of caregivers trained under the program.
• Progress review meetings with the Academy team and Organization leadership at regular intervals
Key Deliverables
• Training Program Reports: Documenting the number of trainees enrolled, trained, and certified.
• Placement and Mentoring Reports: Tracking caregivers' job placements, challenges faced, and mentoring
sessions conducted.
• Stakeholder Engagement Reports: Updates on partnerships, collaborations, and advocacy efforts.
• Impact Assessment Reports: Analyzing the long-term effectiveness of the program in improving elder care
services.
• Program Improvement Proposals: Recommendations for curriculum enhancement, placement strategies, and
post-placement support.
• Adding new courses to the academy curriculum
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Training Success: Number of caregivers trained and certified.
• Placement Rate: Percentage of trained caregivers successfully placed in caregiving roles.
• Retention and Satisfaction: Long-term retention of caregivers and their feedback on training effectiveness.
• Mentoring and Support Quality: Effectiveness of mentoring, counseling, and career support initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Number and quality of institutional partnerships secured
• Addition of new courses
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, training, or social care services.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team supervision and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of elderly care and professional caregiver training frameworks.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data tracking systems.
• Willingness to travel for field visits and engagement with caregiving institutions.
Reporting and Coordination
The In-Charge of Vriddha Mitra Academy will report to Director-Program and will work closely with internal
teams, donor organizations, and caregiving institutions to ensure the smooth implementation of the training and
placement initiatives.
Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
