Chinooks Edge School Division
Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications for a full-time health care aide at Sundre High School (grades * - 12), effective immediately to June 30, 2026. In this role, you will provide essential medical, personal, and educational support to students within an high school setting. Primary duties include:
Delivering specialized care, including g-tube feeling, ostomy/gastrostomy tube maintenance, and central venous catheter care.
Maintaining accurate and timely tracking of student health data as outlined in the Medical Safety Plan.
Assisting with toileting, personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and prescribed exercise routine.
Implementing and strictly following Medical Safety Plans as established by the students medical care team and school team.
Utilizing augmentative and alternative communication methods.
Providing learning support guided by Individual Program Plans (IPP) under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
Working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, including Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals who have their Health Care Aide certificate from an accredited college or program and/or certified Educational Assistants and/or have related medical training experiences.
Experience working with individualized with specialized personal care needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and school-team members
