About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses, providing hands-on support to patients in a busy and dynamic clinical environment. This role requires you to follow direction carefully while maintaining a high standard of care, professionalism and patient dignity at all times.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will contribute to the smooth running of the service by assisting with patient care activities and supporting the wider team. Flexibility is essential, as is the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department.
We offer a vibrant and supportive environment where you can really make the difference. Making use of the collaborative model, you will be working closely with our Registered Nurses to provide excellent care to the patients in our care.
About you
As a Healthcare Assistant the following are required:
A Minimum of NZQA Level 3 National Certificate or similar
Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant
Strong command in English
Excellent customer service practises
Be a New Zealand permanent resident or citizen
