Full job description

10 Month position

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Teach Health Occupations to high school students

Work collaboratively with the other Health Occupations teacher

Develop work experience/clinic rotations for students at local hospitals and nursing homes

Teach students to work in entry-level positions in the Health Occupations field, including Nurse Assistant, Developmental Therapy Aide, and Personal Care Aide

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Nurse

NYS Teacher Certification (Preferred)

Two years' experience in nursing

Strong communication skills

Flexibility and adaptability

Civil Service Title: Teacher
