About Us – Have a Heart for Change!
At Heart Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a healthy heart. Heart disease is one of the nation’s leading causes of death, and since 1959 we’ve led the fight through research, support, and prevention. Be part of our mission to make heart health achievable by everyone in Australia by 2050.
How You Can Make a Difference
Reporting directly to the National Manager – Health & Wellbeing, this role is focused on strengthening how the Heart Foundation delivers impact through its health expertise.
The role spans two connected areas:
Health Products:
You will lead the development and refinement of evidence‑based health products that support our Revenue and Corporate Partnerships teams. This includes translating existing health resources into clear, partner‑ready offerings; working with internal teams to ensure products are credible, fit for purpose and aligned to our strategy; and helping articulate the health impact of our work, including how investment and donations translate into outcomes.
Health Partnerships:
You will support our formal national health partnerships, working with values‑aligned organisations to enhance collective impact. This includes coordinating partnerships, contributing to joint initiatives, ensuring relationships are well governed and strategically aligned, and monitoring outcomes to support learning and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Evolve existing evidence-based health resources into compelling, partner-ready products.
Collaborate with Revenue and Corporate Partnerships teams to package our work in ways that resonate with corporate partners and support sustainable income.
Lead health input into corporate partnerships, ensuring all collaborations are evidence-based, values-aligned and reputation-safe.
Help translate donor and partner contributions into clear, tangible impact narratives — including where appropriate, a meaningful dollar framing.
Support and strengthen our national health partnerships, working with aligned organisations to maximise collective impact.
Test feasibility and suitability of new partnership ideas and product concepts.
Act as a confident internal connector — collaborating across health, partnerships and strategy to drive outcomes.
Be a key point of contact for health-related partner engagement, with strategy oversight supported by senior leaders.
What You'll Bring
A public health or health-related background, with a strong commitment to evidence, integrity and impact.
You’re comfortable holding your own in complex conversations and navigating different priorities — while always grounding decisions in our values and strategy.
Experience in health partnerships, product development or program design, ideally in purpose-driven or corporate-facing environments.
A strong understanding of evidence-based practice and the ability to assess who we partner with — and why.
Confidence collaborating across teams and working with senior stakeholders.
Experience translating complex health work into clear, engaging value propositions.
The ability to find value in different perspectives and build shared understanding.
A pragmatic, thoughtful approach to partnership — ensuring everything we endorse is right for our mission and our reputation.
Why Join Us?
At our heart, we are driven by purpose. Every day, we make a meaningful impact through our work, and we are committed to supporting our employees in achieving a healthy work-life balance.
We are dedicated to fostering a diverse, safe, and inclusive workplace. We actively seek to represent the communities we serve and recognise the invaluable skills, knowledge, and perspectives a diverse team brings. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and individuals from all backgrounds and abilities.
What We Offer:
Generous NFP salary packaging to help you make the most of your earnings.
12 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers.
Flexible work-from-home options – up to 50% of your week.
Diversity Council Australia recognised inclusive workplace where your contributions are supported and valued.
Additional gifted leave during the Christmas shutdown period.
Wellbeing programs and initiatives to support your personal and professional growth.
Ready to Apply?
Hi, I’m Steph from the Heart Foundation I know job applications can be stressful, so let’s keep it simple. You don’t need to answer selection criteria, and cover letters are totally optional (just keep it to one page if you include one). Every application is read by a real person, not AI.
There’s no strict closing date. We’ll start reviewing applications as they come in and close once we’ve found the right person, so don’t wait too long. If you need any adjustments during the process, just email me at careers@heartfoundation.org.au and I’ll make sure you’re supported.
All offers are subject to standard pre-employment checks (like a National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check where required).
