Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their successful team.
Remit
• The role of Health & Safety Advisor is a key position within the production team, supporting the QA & H&S Manager you will be responsible for supporting with writing and reviewing risk assessments, undertaking internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO+001 & ISO45001 standards along with providing Heath & Safety training and inductions to new employees.
• Successful candidates will have NEBOSH or a similar accredited qualification along with ISO+001 & 45001 internal auditor training.
Role
• Carry out Site Inspections & Integrated Process Audits (Quality and Health & Safety).
• Undertaking internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislations and ISO standards or audits on processes and procedures to ensure the relevance and compliance of company documents.
• Completing Reach, RoHS, Conflict Minerals etc. compliance requests for customers.
• Help to generate general and specific Risk Assessments (FMEA, COSHH, DSEAR, Manual Handling, PUWER etc.)
• Review open actions on Q-Pulse and send out reminder.
• Provide training and guidance to personnel, in particular H&S Inductions for new employees.
• Assists investigating internal complaints, customer non-conformities & accidents.
• Review existing safe systems of work and risk assessments.
• Support creation of Standardized / Safe Operating Procedures / PSS etc.
• Adhere to all ISO +001, environmental and health and safety policies and procedures.
Experience Requirements
• HND/HNC or degree qualification would be desirable
• NEBOSH Certification or other accredited qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field
• Experience in working in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment
• Internal auditor experience – ISO+001 & ISO45001
• Working knowledge of computer hardware/software applications including word processing and Excel;
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working.
