The Opportunity:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Divisional Manager to join our Canterbury team. As a member of the senior leadership team, this role is pivotal to educating and supporting our local operational and management teams to ensure they have the necessary tools to deliver works in line with health and safety compliance standards. You will also be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of five.
In addition to the above you will:
Utilise your knowledge of the Fulton Hogan Health & Safety systems and processes to ensure compliance and consistency across Canterbury operations.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
Support our local teams through the identification of risks with a practical approach to on-site risk management.
Encourage a strong reporting culture from our people and sub-contractors.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant Workplace Health & Safety experience, ideally in a contracting environment.
Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
The ability to encourage a positive health & safety culture with a focus on ‘people at the heart of everything’.
Proven people and change management abilities.
The ability to maintain a personable approach to develop relationships at all levels.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to undertake comprehensive investigations including root cause analysis.
A relevant qualification in health & safety is advantageous.
You will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent.
