CEDA is looking for a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor based out of our Edmonton location. This full time position reports directly to the HSE Manager and will also be providing support for shutdowns as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provision of risk management support to achieve a common HSE program

Provide leadership for implementing and maintaining HSE programs/systems (Hazard ID, BBS, Site Reviews, Training etc.)

Liaison with clients, third parties, HSE and other internal clients with the provision of presentations to increase awareness of progress on HSE matters

Ensuring accident and incident investigations are conducted and events are reported in a timely manner

Responsible for the maintenance and development of HSE documentation

Auditing and monitoring as required in accordance with CEDA’s and our customers’ expectations

Support site, shop and project safety meetings by providing relevant information for use during the meeting and actively participating throughout

Identify HSE coaching opportunities throughout the organization, offer yourself as a HSE mentor and actively participate in improving CEDA’s Culture

Role Specifications

3 - 5 years of Health, Safety & Environment experience in an industrial or Oil & Gas setting is required

NCSO or OH&S certificate is required

Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is an asset

Working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws is an asset

Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits

Willingness and ability to travel to various sites within the Edmonton region is required

Able to provide an negative pre-employment ******* & Drug Test
