Job description, work day and responsibilities
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Healthcare Assistant to join the team on a bank basis at HMP Leeds, a busy category B prison located in Armley. HMP Leeds has capacity of around 1,100 males.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and work in a varied environment, where you will gain experience across primary care, including emergency response, working on the wings, clinics, health promotion, and more! No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment.
Hours:
This is a bank role offering flexible hours across the week. Shifts are usually 07:30 - 19:30 / 20:30, but this can be flexible based around your availability.
Salary:
This position is offered on a bank basis and the hourly rate is £15.25

What you'll be doing
As our new Bank Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
Carry out bloods, obs, ECGs etc
Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
Respond to emergency situations as needed
Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
