Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of building renovation, including carpentry, tiling, water proofing, gas lines, furnaces, boilers, hot water tank and finishing techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial renovations, utilizing a wide range of tools and skills to deliver high-quality results. Candidates with experience reading blueprints and schematics, operating heavy equipment and performing construction estimating will excel in this position.
Responsibilities
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute renovation projects accurately
Perform carpentry tasks such as tile installation, framing, water proofing, drywalling and general woodwork
Apply construction painting, caulking, flooring installation and tile laying
Assist with plumbing/heating repairs and installations to ensure functional systems
Estimate project costs and materials for efficient project planning
Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
Proven experience in construction or renovation projects with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
Skills in carpentry, plumbing, heating, flooring installation, tile laying and welding
Ability to read technical drawings and construction estimating documents
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Driver's license is required
