About the Role
At Thiess Pty, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Mt Pleasant Operation in Muswellbrook. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing servicing, repair and maintenance of large scale mobile mining equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance tasks on heavy earthmoving equipment
Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks as required to ensure optimal equipment performance
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve site goals and objectives
Source technical information from relevant reference manuals and computer-based systems
Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar
Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
