The Opportunity
Maintain all aspects of vehicles to relevant transport legislation and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services, including routine inspections and repairs.
Action driver daily vehicle reports (DVRs) and file as required, facilitating efficient documentation and analysis.
Perform fault diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical faults, applying in-depth knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure repair has been completed correctly, verifying the quality of work.
Ensure all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly, maintaining a secure and organized workspace.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a focus on training and mentoring, developing skills in technical guidance and leadership.
A Certificate III Automotive-Mechanical-Heavy Vehicle Road Transport, demonstrating expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
A Heavy Rigid license (minimum), enabling the safe operation of rigid trucks and other heavy vehicles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork.
In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and related systems, supporting advanced troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, promoting a culture of mutual support and respect.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical checks, including drug and ******* testing, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
