Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspecting, testing, and diagnosing hydraulic systems to identify problems.
Repairing and replacing hydraulic pumps, PTOs, cylinders, and hydraulic control valves.
Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice, and rail equipment
Performing other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
3 – 5 years of hydraulics experience
Their Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic is preferred
OR will be in their 3rd or 4th year of their apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience
OR a combination of related education and work experience
Previous supervisory experience is an asset
Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
Your own tools
Welding and electrical experience and knowledge is a definite asset
The ability to work independently, and maneuver in an around heavy equipment.
Creative, self-starter with problem-solving skills
