Job Description
Requirements:
• Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing construction equipment including Gravel Trucks, Trailers, Excavators, Loaders, Graders and Dozers.
• Completing preventative maintenance and identifying possible failures before they lead to equipment downtime.
• Interpreting and completing work orders.
• Reading diagrams and manufacturers’ repair manuals for work procedures.
• Updating and maintaining service records.
• Filling out warranty information.
• Complying with Health and Safety program and practices.
• Completing daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean work environment.
• Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice Program.
• Owns a toolbox and tools.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment repairs.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience and familiarity with computers and computer software.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Reliable and valid transportation.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to pass mandatory Drug and Medical Screening.
