Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, including Compaction equipment, paving equipment and misc other equipment. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with precision and efficiency
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals
- Familiarity with a variety of power tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
