Join our team as a Heavy Duty Mechanic / Crane Mechanic as a crucial member of our dynamic and innovative team. Based in Cockburn with occasional travel to Goldfields, Southwest and Northwest regions, this role offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment, including Tadano and Terex cranes, Volvo trucks, trailers and light vehicles.
Key responsibilities:
Maintenance, repairs, and adherence to service schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on various crane types to identify faults and ensure safety compliance.
Perform repairs and maintenance on crane components including engines, booms, hoists, wire ropes, hydraulics, and control systems.
Troubleshoot and service hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, including pumps, actuators, valves, and fluid systems.
Repair and maintain electrical systems, such as wiring, sensors, relays, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Conduct functional testing and load checks after repairs to ensure crane performance meets operational and regulatory standards.
Provide on-site field service and emergency repairs, maintaining accurate service records and adhering to safety protocols.
A solid understanding of relevant regulations and safety standards is essential.
