Job Overview
We are recruiting a Heavy Equipment Technician/Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. The ideal candidate must have a CVIP certification, a strong background in heavy truck and trailer repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Able to diagnose and repair manufacturers spec.
Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
Collaborate with team members for effective operations.
Requirements
Journeyperson certification required
CVIP certification required
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Heavy-Equipment Technician or in a related field
Valid Driver's License, preferably Class 1 or 3
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
Must pass pre-employment drug and ******* testing including marijuana.
Must be fit-for-duty.
