Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, full time, Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our family- run business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment used in manufacturing operations. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting continuous production and minimizing downtime through effective maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and improve reliability.
Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, pumps, valves, belts, and wiring.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
Follow safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
Valid drivers license
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance.
Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on analysis and resolution of equipment issues.
Wages will vary dependent on experience.
