Job Description
MatrixHR is currently recruiting Heavy Duty Mechanics for a client of ours located in Vancouver BC. The Mechanic works under the direction of the Head Mechanic and Charge Hand to efficiently and effectively complete maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on company equipment ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
Pay Rate: $38 to $42/hr (negotiable; based on experience)
Location: Vicrotia, BC
Type: Full-time
Duties
• Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Occupational Health & Safety Manual.
• Attends and participates in all mandatory staff and safety meetings.
• Observes and promotes company rules.
• Completes equipment diagnostics, maintenance and repairs efficiently.
• Records repair information accurately for administration.
• Works with safety in mind to minimize workplace incidents.
• Works to maximize equipment efficiency through proactive maintenance, maximizing uptime and minimizing down-time.
• Fosters a culture of cleanliness and respect for all equipment and reports equipment abuse to Head Mechanic.
Qualifications
• 3+ years' heavy equipment diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and testing.
• Civil construction or excavating industry experience is considered an asset.
• Automotive Service Experience an asset.
• You hold a minimum of a High School diploma.
• Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal preferred.
