AGM Commercial (Litigation & Legal)
About The Job
• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation & Legal expert to lead and manage our organization's legal and commercial activities.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering along with LLB/LLM qualifications.
• They will have proven expertise in commercial litigation, legal compliance, and risk mitigation, and will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's legal and commercial frameworks align with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Legal and Litigation Management:
• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including preparing and filing legal documents, drafting notices, and representing the organization in legal proceedings.
• Manage and resolve disputes in courts and arbitration, ensuring the best outcomes for the organization.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel for complex litigation cases.
Contract Review And Management
• Oversee the legal review of contracts, tenders, and agreements to ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate, draft, and finalize legal contracts while mitigating risks and protecting the organization's interests.
Tax And Compliance Matters
• Address tax-related issues and legal disputes while ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to legal and commercial compliance requirements, keeping abreast of changes in applicable laws and regulations.
Risk Mitigation And Advisory
• Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to minimize organizational exposure.
• Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial and legal matters, ensuring informed decision-making.
Litigation Documentation And Reporting
• Prepare litigation-related documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all legal cases, notices, and contracts for audit and reference purposes.
Experience
Required Qualifications & Skill:
• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation and legal matters, with a proven track record of handling high-value cases within EPC, Heavy Engineering, Large power projects etc.
