Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment including snow plows, skid steers, loaders, and trucks.
Inspect hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems for wear or defects.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime during winter operations.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and service reports.
Respond to emergency breakdowns, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
Ensure all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards.
Assist in setting up snow plow attachments and ensuring proper operation.
Collaborate with fleet managers and equipment operators to identify mechanical issues.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Experience working with snow plows and hydraulic systems is a plus.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy machinery diagnostics.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during snow events.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
