Job Type Full Time, Permanent or Sub-Contractor
Schedule 10+ Hours per day (day shift), OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
Location Bruderheim, AB – 57007+ Range Rd 204, approximately 12 km north of Bruderheim on Range Road 204 (on-site position repairing heavy equipment at an industrial sand plant)
Requirements
• Full Complement of Hand Tools
• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Pre-employment
• Drug and ******* testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment
Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) Qualifications
• Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent
• Must have between (5) and (10) years' Journeyperson experience
• Off Road experience is REQUIRED
• Experience with Komatsu is REQUIRED
• Experience with WA500 or WA600 Wheel loaders is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
• Experience with Crushers is Beneficial
• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) Responsibilities
• Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
