Summary
As an Equipment Technician at Team Viking , you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of trucks . This position is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional results for our clients.
We are looking to add a full time 2nd or 3rd year HET Apprentice
and
a short term 3 month contract for a Journeyman HET
Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various fleet including light and heavy pick up trucks, and semi trucks and trailers.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding equipment functionality.
Document maintenance activities and report any significant findings or issues.
This position may include travel to sites to preform maintenance on trucks.
Requirements
Must hold a valid blue book and 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship
Journeyman position must be able to produce a Journeyman ticket, and have experience mentoring apprentices
Must have a valid Drivers license
Must be local to the greater Edmonton area
Experience as an Equipment Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Experience working on various types of engines including Cummins, CAT, Peterbuilt, and Ford .
Experience on Diesel generators is an asset
Experience with Air brakes is required
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Current forklift certification is considered and asset

Job involves working out of our shop in Stony Plain
Hours are 8am to 4:30 pm with the possibility of OT
This is a physically demanding role, and the successful candidate will be able to comfortably walk, stand, lift (≤50 lbs.), carry (≤50 lbs.), and bend for the duration of their shift.
Use of the forklift to load and unload materials
Compensation
Wages are dependent on experience and the position ranging from $26/hr to $42/hr
Overtime is paid after 8 hours a day or 44 hours per week
