Job Description
Primary work site will be in Tacoma.
Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00/HR based on experience.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime.
Safety Requirement: This is a safety-sensitive position.
Requirements: Must hold a valid driver's license, have an acceptable motor vehicle record, pass a criminal background check, and complete a clean drug screening.
Key Responsibilities:
• Availability to travel to our locations in Portland, Oregon or Boardman, Oregon for training or support as necessary.
• Conduct repairs and perform preventive maintenance services promptly and effectively.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, suspension, differentials, brakes, and more.
• Utilize basic computer skills to manage electronic systems and run diagnostic programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards by maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Keep the shop truck and parts room organized and well-stocked for efficient repairs.
• Document and maintain accurate records on equipment maintenance, work orders, and daily logs.
• Engage in physically demanding work, including heavy lifting (over 75 pounds) and strenuous outdoor activities.
• Effectively communicate the status of repairs to both operations and management teams.
• Collaborate with local vendors and parts suppliers for any required outside repairs.
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
• Driver's License Required: Must maintain a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Medical Certification: A valid medical card is required to operate a Non-CDL vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
• Must provide personal tools necessary for the job.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate technical service information.
• Extensive experience in working with heavy equipment is necessary.
• Welding and fabrication skills are preferred.
