Asphalt Solutions is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment / Truck Mechanic. This is a skilled craft position whose primary function is to service and repair asphalt construction equipment. This mechanic will work within our shop, which is attached to our building. In addition to our heavy equipment that includes Skid Steers, Asphalt Pavers, Milling Machines, and Asphalt Rollers, this role will service and repair our vehicle fleet, including Semis, Dump Trucks, Ford F550s, and additional vehicles.
Desired Qualifications
• :Extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• .Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees
.Job Duties
• :The Mechanic must perform daily maintenance checks to assess and repair heavy equipment failure
• .Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on the equipment and prepare/maintain inspection and maintenance records
• .Lubricating components
• .Servicing hydraulic systems
• .Track and transmission maintenance
• .Delivering and installing parts on equipment at the shop/job site
• .Loading and unloading of materials
• .General cleanup of equipment
• .Checking, changing, and maintaining fluids
• .Adheres to all safety protocol
• .Maintenance of all equipment and tools
• .Maintain general cleanliness and order within the shop
• .Other duties as assigned
.Job Requirements
• :ASE diesel mechanic certification
• .Experience with equipment is preferred
• .Valid Indiana driver’s license. CDL preferred
