The ideal candidate will excel in advanced recovery techniques, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and deliver exceptional roadside assistance. Additionally, the operator will provide support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations, advising on recovery procedures or vehicle safety, and maintaining detailed service documentation to support both on-site and virtual interactions. Candidates must have a modern smartphone with an active internet connection to efficiently manage orders and assignments through the company app. Proficiency in navigating mobile applications, digital platforms, and app-based workflows is essential for seamless task execution and communication.
Compensation ranges from $52,000 to $+3,600 per year, based on experience and availability.
Job Specifics
Operate heavy-duty recovery vehicles for towing and recovery of commercial vehicles.
Perform advanced recovery tasks, including winching and vehicle uprighting.
Respond to roadside assistance requests for jump-starts, tyre changes, lockouts, and other support services.
Ensure secure and safe vehicle transportation, following all safety protocols.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks for recovery vehicles.
Maintain accurate service records and logs of towing activities.
Provide professional and courteous customer service, even in high-pressure situations.
Adhere strictly to local, state, and federal towing regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications and ExperienceQualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of towing safety practices, equipment handling, and regulatory standards
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty towing and recovery for commercial vehicles.
